Popgadget informs me of Climate Change Chocolate.

Apparently it “comes with” a carbon offset. And the wrapper includes “15 tips” about leading a greener life. Here’s the official site.

This product motivated me to install a poll plugin. This is my first use of it. So I don’t know if it works.

I would like to know what you think of this product.

Hi Rob,

Thanks for taking the time to post on Climate Change Chocolate. From the TerraPass perspective, I’ll chime in that CCC is helping because it puts money into the hands of landfill gas and agricultural gas capture projects, money that otherwise would not get to them, and which helps the landfill owners and farmers pay off debts incurred by undertaking the projects. I’m not going to pretend that a single chocolate bar is going to fund a greenhouse gas reduction project, but in aggregate we’re making a difference. Plus, Bloomsberry, the manufacturer, offset the entire supply chain and transportation of the bar – had this been some other more generic bar, that simply wouldn’t have happened.

So there’s my pitch for the “Helping” category!

Erik
