In lieu of AntiFriday: Clorox Green Works link

Here’s an interesting article from last month’s Fast Company about the endorsement of Clorox Green by the Sierra Club. Writer Anya Kamenetz asks: “With no independent scientific assessment of Green Works products, and with an undisclosed amount of money changing hands, what does that Sierra Club seal on the back of the bottle really mean?”

The answer seems to be that it’s meant a lot of internal dissent at the Sierra Club — and strong sales for Green Works. Good story.

In other news, I’m kind of thinking of not doing AntiFriday anymore. Anybody care? It doesn’t seem to have gained any traction.

Further diversion may be found at MKTG Tumblr, and the Consumed Facebook page.

I’d be sad to see it go, as AntiFriday has always included interesting things I’ve missed. (One can’t be everywhere on the interwebs.) I’m not sure what you mean by traction. Is it that no one leaves replies? It’s clear with many posts that you’re inviting comment/feedback/conversation. Other times — and I suppose I lump AF in this category, which is why I’ve not made any AF replies — you seem to post “just because” or “FYI” items.

I love the concept, but to be honest, I don’t comment as much as I might because it’s a Friday thing. What about an AntiMonday or AntiTuesday?

Hi Rob,

I just bought a couple copies of your book…really good stuff so far.

As far as anti-friday goes, I sort of liked the theme & felt like it was a bit irreverent. The post title kind of always caught my eye as I went through my Google Reader feeds.

In any case, keep up the good work on the blog as well. It is one of my favs!
