This has been all over the Web, it turns out, but just for the record, to follow up on the post about people in Ghana opting for coffins shaped like large products (beer and Coke bottles, etc.), a guy in Chicago has a PBR coffin. Since he’s still alive, he uses it as a cooler.

Further diversion may be found at MKTG Tumblr, and the Consumed Facebook page.

He was interviewed for an NPR show (name escapes me…they all run together sometimes) and it was a pretty touching piece. He has a long family history with PBR AND has had several heart attacks. He planned his whole funeral so his family wouldn’t have to. He was very funny and sweet. Listening to him talk about why he wanted a PBR coffin added so much to just the original image that I had seen on the internet.

Oh and he had a local sign painter pain the image for him. He was worried that PBR was going to get mad that he used their logo without permission, but they loved it (OF COURSE).
